A seminar entitled “Public order, national security and the rights of the third-country nationals in immigration and citizenship cases” was jointly organised by the Association of the Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions of the European Union (ACA-Europe) and the Polish Supreme Administrative Court on 18 September 2017 in Cracow.

The seminar was also attended by the President of the Curia of Hungary. Dr. Péter Darák moderated one of the conference’s sections.

The major issue addressed by the seminar was how a fair balance could be struck by the administrative courts between the rights of third-country nationals and the protection of national security and public order in immigration and citizenship cases.
