The official visit of the Curia’s delegation, led by Chief Justice Dr. Péter Darák, to Vietnam

On the invitation of Truong Hoa Binh, President of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam, the Curia’s delegation, led by Chief Justice Dr. Péter Darák, paid an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam between 9-15 November 2014.

During the Hungarian judicial delegation’s stay in Vietnam, the President of the Curia held negotiations with the Vietnamese Chief Justice, in addition, the delegation was received by Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and by Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong.

Within the framework of their official programme, the Curia’s delegation visited the Chief Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Appellate Departments of the Supreme People’s Court in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City.

During their meetings and discussions, Dr. Péter Darák and his Vietnamese hosts agreed on the basis of their co-operation agreement to further strengthen and improve the professional relations between the supreme judicial bodies of the two countries, with possible regard to the exchange of experiences concerning the similar four-tier court systems of the two countries and the Hungarian judiciary’s involvement in the continuous training of Vietnamese judges.
