Dublin, the capital of Ireland hosted the seventh annual meeting of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union on 27 November 2015. The Curia’s delegation, led by Hungarian Chief Justice Dr. Péter Darák was also present at the conference.
Two main topics have been discussed during the meeting of the chief justices of the European Union Member States. The first topic focused on the relationship between the national supreme courts and the European Court of Human Rights, while the second topic addressed the question of the filtering of appeals to supreme courts.
The participants of the conference agreed to strengthen their relations with the European Court of Human Rights and to invite the representatives of the Strasbourg Court to attend one of their upcoming Network meetings.
