Current issues in European tax law and cooperation with the Federal Fiscal Court of Germany

A delegation of the Curia led by Dr. Péter Darák took part in a discussion on current issues in European tax law between the 18th and 19th October in Munich. The members of the highest judicial forum in Hungary travelled to the capital city of Bavaria at the invitation of Prof. Dr. h.c. Rudolf Mellinghoff, President of the Federal Fiscal Court of Germany.

There were three discussion items on the agenda. The first topic was the effect of the newest judgements of the Court of Justice of the European Union on the jurisprudence of the Member States related to value added tax. The second item on the agenda was the State aid law in connection with tax law, the third issue was the question of admissibility of evidence in tax administration procedures.

The participants of the discussion agreed that the Curia and the Federal Fiscal Court of Germany will deepen their professional cooperation. They will hold a joint seminar next time in Hungary.
